Sion Discharge

Departures usually take place between 09:00 and 11:00. The date of your discharge will be decided on in consultation with your hospital doctor, who will send a report about your stay in the hospital to your referring doctor and, if necessary, will call him/her; you should then contact your referring doctor regarding the continuation of your treatment. If you are transferred to another hospital site, the hospital staff will inform your referring doctor.

Before you leave the hospital

  • Please ask the nurse to ensure that you have been provided with all necessary documents (prescriptions, medical letters, x-rays, hospitalisation certificate, blood group card, anticoagulation card, appointments, personal medicines).
  • The hospital will not provide medicines for your return home (including at the weekend and on bank holidays).
  • Remember to retrieve any valuable objects you may have deposited (check the opening hours of the place where you deposited them).
  • Settle any outstanding bills you may have (television, phone calls, Internet…).
  • If necessary, contact the liaison nurse to help you with arranging your care following your discharge from the hospital.
  • Check that you have not forgotten any personal belongings in your room.

Please let us know what you think

Do not hesitate to tell us what you think about your stay in our hospital. As part of a constant improvement process, the Management of the Centre Hospitalier du Valais Romand has drawn up a patient satisfaction survey entitled ‘Votre avis nous intéresse’. If you request it, our quality assurance team will regularly send you this questionnaire. We would be grateful if you would return it to the ‘Votre avis nous intéresse’ box at the reception desk in the entrance hall of the hospital, or to send it to us by post, using the return envelope.
