Saint-Amé Discharge

Your discharge plan will be discussed daily with your doctor during your stay. Your discharge will be confirmed the day before by midday. It is your responsibility to make the necessary arrangements to vacate your room by 10 a.m. at the latest.

If hospital-based rehabilitation is necessary, the hospital will take care of the administrative procedures and transfer logistics. The rehabilitation facility will be determined by the hospital based on the needs prescribed by the doctor and the places available.

A hospitalisation report will be sent to your GP. If necessary, you will be asked to contact them again for the continuation and follow-up of your treatment.

Before your Departure, please

  • The medical team will provide you with the necessary documents (prescriptions, medical letters, imaging tests (card with access code for online viewing), hospitalisation certificate, blood group card, anticoagulation card, appointments, personal medication, etc.).
The clinic does not provide medication for your return home (except in exceptional circumstances).
  • Remember to collect any valuables you may have deposited (check the opening hours of the deposit location).
  • Settle any outstanding fees at reception.
  • Check that you have taken all your personal belongings with you.
  • Return any auxiliary equipment you have borrowed (walking sticks, rollator, long-handled tongs, etc.).

Please let us know what you think

The satisfaction and safety of our patients are our priority. Patient surveys are an integral part of our continuous improvement process and professional quality control.

At certain times, patients leaving the hospital are given a questionnaire to complete.

We would be grateful if you could share your suggestions with us after your discharge by sending your comments or requests in writing to chvrqualite(at)hopitalvs.ch.
