Nutritional consultation – SZO
We provide advice to sick and healthy patients on all aspects of nutrition and focus on the latest evidence-based nutritional guidelines. We offer both inpatient and outpatient services.
Activities
- Individual consultation for all groups of people
- Group courses for overweight young people/adults, cardiovascular rehabilitation, carbohydrate evaluation courses
Our consultations primarily cover the following nutritional issues and should be covered by the health insurance fund (basic cover) with a medical prescription:
- Metabolic disorders (such as diabetes mellitus, gestational diabetes)
- Adiposities (body mass index over 30)
- Cardiovascular disease
- Digestive disorders
- Kidney disease
- Malnutrition and nutritional deficiencies
- Food allergies or allergic reactions to nutritional elements
Additional consultation issues which may not be covered by the health insurance fund:
- Sports nutrition
- Nutritional issues for healthy people
- Vegetarian/ vegan diets
- Overweight children

- Issued by family doctor
(a prescription comprises max. 6 consultations)
