If you have any questions or concerns, or if you need to go to hospital, remember to call the midwives in the delivery room first. 

The midwives are authorised to answer your questions from the moment you become pregnant until you go home.

Emergency consultations are carried out in the obstetric unit from 20 weeks of amenorrhoea, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

How do I get to hospital?

Before coming to the hospital, please let us know that you will be arriving.

When should I go to the delivery room?

Before you go to hospital, remember to let them know you are coming. 

  • if you feel that your baby is moving less
  • if you lose blood
  • if you experience persistent headaches associated with visual or hearing problems, swelling of the legs, fingers and face and rapid weight gain.
  • if you experience regular contractions
  • if you lose amniotic fluid, whether abundant or not
  • if you have a fever (over 38°C)
  • if you have had a fall or an accident 
  • if you feel worried or unwell.

It is essential to react quickly to any unusual signs or symptoms to ensure your safety and that of your baby. Do not hesitate to contact our delivery room team for advice or assistance. 

What should we pack in our suitcase?

It is advisable to pack as early as the 34th week of pregnancy to avoid last-minute stress.
