Penitentiary Medicine The Penitentiary Medicine Department provides outpatient treatment, prevention and liaison services and hospital-type treatment if the clinical situation requires it (hunger strike, treatment prescribed, suicide risk). Fertility Clinic The Valais Hospital Fertility Clinic is based in Sion, and offers comprehensive treatment for couples who are encountering difficulties in their attempts to have a child. Intermediate Care The Intermediate Care Unit of Spitalzentrum Obwerwallis is adapted to the local, medical and operational possibilities, requirements and features of the site. Intermediate Care acts as a link between a normal hospital department and intensive care.
